How it all started:
Anthony has been passionate about photography all his life. His father gave him his first semi pro SLR camera (a Canon AE1) at 11. Anthony started his career as a professional photographer and graphic designer in the city. In 2001 he was recruited by his former high school to introduce a photography program & instruct Graphic Design. He decided to leave the private sector behind and pursue a career in education.
During the summer of 2001 Anthony was approached by a former photography student who asked if he would consider photographing her wedding. He agreed as a favor. Soon after that event Anthony started receiving word of mouth requests from other couples who had seen his work, and wanted him to do their weddings. Fast forward to today and AZS has become one of the most awarded, trusted and sought after studios in New Jersey with many of its couples booking two years in advance.
In 2008 Anthony decided to expand his small company into a full time portrait studio. Presently Anthony Ziccardi Studios is in its 3rd and largest studio, located in Anthony’s home town of Sparta NJ. AZS currently has over 35 full and part time associates.
After ten years in education, Anthony resigned from a his teaching career to focus solely on AZS with his wife Sarah. In 2017 Anthony received The Best of New Jersey Award of Excellence as the top 25 Italian Americans in Business. He holds a BFA in Photography and Graphic Communications as well as a teaching certificate from Ramapo College...
Anthony now trains and mentors aspiring A-Team photographers.
